The Boss (DNA) reveals teaser image from new mini-album today

Korean idols The Boss have revealed a teaser image promoting their upcoming mini-album, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Thursday.

A press release from Open-World unveiled the teaser photo of the boys for their first mini-album titled "Awake," which will be released on June 17.

The photograph showed a different look of the group from their previous cute image, featuring the boys donning a more rebellious look.

Fans have responded to the pic, making various comments such as "Wow! They have become men!" "I can't wait for their comeback. I wish it was the 17th already."

The five-member boy band, whose name stands for The Boys of Super Space, made their debut with their single album "The Admirer" in March 2010.

They have recently signed with Japanese management company, Digital Adventure, to start their activities in the country during the latter half of the year.

The Boss will begin promoting their first mini-album "Awake" later on this month.

The Boss (DNA) signs with Japanese management company

Korean boy band The Boss has signed with a famed Japanese management company which will manage the group's career in Japan, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Monday.

The Boss last week signed with Japan's Digital Adventure (D.A.), which is also in charge of Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon and other various aspects of the entertainment industry such as dramas, distribution rights, digital and cellular contents.

"We felt that we didn't want to lose our chance on these singers after seeing them on stage. We believe they have infinite possibilities because they give such powerful performances at such a young age," explained a representative from D.A.

The boys will visit Japan in early September until December to carry out promotional events and record their single album in the country.

The five-member boy band, whose name stands for The Boys of Super Space, made their debut with their single album "The Admirer" in March 2010.

They are currently preparing the release of their first mini-album.

The Boss wraps up first-ever Japanese showcase

Korean idols The Boss wrapped up their first-ever Japanese showcase over the weekend, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Monday.

Open-World announced through a press release that about 1,000 fans attended the event titled "SEOUL TRAIN with RAINBOW & The Boss" on May 28, performing five songs including "Shining World," their title track "Admiring Boy" as well as Japanese group V6's tune "Feel your breeze."

"This was an unforgettable showcase. It is truly a valuable memory. We didn't know that we would receive this much attention from the Japanese fans. We would like to thank them for the support and hopefully show our best in the future," The Boss members were quoted as saying.

The five-member boy band, whose name stands for The Boys of Super Space, made their debut in March of this year with their single album "The Admirer."

They are currently preparing for their return to the local music scene in June with the release of a mini album.

The Boss to visit Japan for first showcase on May 28

Korean idol group The Boss will be visiting Japan for their first-ever showcase on May 28, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Tuesday.

Open-World stated in a press release that the boys will take part in the event titled "SEOUL TRAIN with RAINBOW & The Boss" to be held at the Gotanda Yoohoo Port Hall in Tokyo.

The boy band will be performing their debut track "Admiring Boy" and five other songs, meeting with their Japanese fans alongside Korean girl group RAINBOW.

The showcase, held every month, introduces various K-pop artists to local fans.

The five-member boy band, whose name stands for The Boys of Super Space, made their debut with their single album "The Admirer" in March 2010.

They recently held showcases also in Thailand, Bangkok and China.

The Boss to hold first showcase in China

Korean pop idol group The Boss will hold their first showcase in China over the weekend, according to their agency Open-World Entertainment on Tuesday.


Open-World announced in a press release that the group will exhibit their showcase at the Jin Mao Tower this coming Sunday to congratulate the upcoming Expo 2010 Shanghai China.


"The boys have not begun their official activities in the country but they have decided to attend the event because of the interest from Chinese fans," explained a representative from Open-World.


The members of Boss said, "We are very excited to give our first show in China. We are busy practicing for our performance... we want to present the best show ever."


The five-member boy band, whose name stands for The Boys of Super Space, made their debut into the local music industry with their first single album "The Admirer" in March this year.


They recently visited Thailand to take part in "ShowKing M In Bangkok," a concert hosted by Korean cable music channel Mnet.
