"The members of 2PM have departed from Korea because they will open the Wonder Girls' tour but Junsu will stay back and take time to recover from his knee injury," an official from JYPE told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.

Taecyeon says "never dated anyone" since debut
Boy band 2PM member Ok Taecyeon [Asia Economic Daily]
Taecyeon of popular boy band 2PM has revealed that he has not had a single girlfriend since making his debut, dismissing recent rumors that he is dating Yoona of Girls' Generation.
The singer sat down for an exclusive interview Asia Economic Daily, held at a coffee shop in Seoul's Apkujung district on Monday morning, opening up about his personal life.
When asked what his first question to an actor would be if he himself was a reporter, the 21-year-old star responded, "I would ask if he has a girlfriend."
"I had one when I was a trainee [at agency JYPE], but I haven't had any girlfriends after making my debut," the pop idol said in response. "It's not like the agency forbids me from dating anyone, but strangely I haven't been able to get one."
Taecyeon and Yoona recently sparked dating rumors when they appeared as a couple in a promotional music video for a water amusement park.
He admitted that they are "close friends" but added, "We are both busy... We haven't had any chance to meet in private settings."
He also said he is "closest to Girls' Generation out of all the girl groups" but stressed that they had only met for work and "rarely met on a personal level."
He went onto say, "I know about the rumors surrounding me. But there are many that are totally out of the blue. It is amazing how such stories get made up."
Taecyeon, one of the members of idol group 2PM, recently made his acting debut in the KBS2 TV series "Sister of Cinderella" alongside actress Moon Geun-young.
"Cinderella" ends its run on the small screen tonight.

2PM and Super Junior top televised music shows
Boy band 2PM [JYP Entertainment]
Korean boy bands 2PM and Super Junior ranked number one on televised music shows over the weekend.
2PM claimed their second consecutive Mutizen award on SBS’ Sunday music program “Inkigayo” with their single “Without U” while giving out the top spot on KBS’ Friday live show “Music Bank” to Super Junior who recently made a comeback with a new song titled “BONAMANA”.
The groups were up against other singers such as Rain, Davichi and Gummy on both shows.
For their performance on Inkigayo, six-man band 2PM was one member short due to their main vocalist Junsu recovering from a knee injury.
They have been enjoying a successful comeback to the local music scene however, with the song from their latest album "Don't Stop Can't Stop" which has topped cable music channel Mnet's "M! CountDown" for three weeks straight and "Music Bank" for two weeks in a row.
Super Junior, back with their fourth album "BONAMANA" released May 13, sold over one hundred thousand copies of the new record in just eight days of its release.

2PM Junsu suffering from knee injury
Hey kpop lovers! A simple thanks and a click on the ad really could make our day~ really appreciate it if you guys could help and support us. Thanks in advance.
Boy band 2PM member Junsu [Asia Economic Daily]
2PM member Junsu is suffering from a damaged knee cartilage but it will not keep him from taking part in his group's performances on music shows, according to his agency JYP Entertainment.
The pop idol had been rushed to the hospital Friday when he felt acute pain in his knee while appearing on KBS2 TV's "Music Bank."
The pre-recorded portion of the show was able to broadcast Junsu's performance with the group, but he was taken to hospital during the band's encore performance after they won the No. 1 title.
"We got the results on the x-rays that he took on May 7 and there's been some cartilage damage," an official at agency JYP Entertainment told Asia Economic Daily over the phone on Saturday.
"The doctor advised him not to dance, bend his knee or make any big movements," the official added, but the singer joined his bandmates on stage to perform the group's latest single "Without U" on MBC's weekly music show, which aired Saturday.
Junsu, wearing pressure bandages on his right leg, contributed his vocals for the new song while refraining from dancing to prevent himself from making any movements with his knee.
2PM, one of the most popular boy bands in Korea since their debut in 2008, has been settling into their six-man act after former leader Park Jae-beom left the group last year.

Just when you thought April was the month of hot comebacks in k-pop music (think Lee Hyori, Rain, 2PM, Gummy), May is cranking up the heat with a list of its own comeback artists. We already saw f(x) make their comeback with their new song "NU ABO" on May 3rd. This was followed by Davichi's mini-album ust on May 6th. We also have the Wondergirls slated to release their single ("2 Different Tears) on May 16th, although "Innocence" dropping on May 5th and Seo In-gook's "Just Beginning" coming out on May 6th. We have more to look forward to. The Wondergirls big date is May 16th when their single "2 Different Tears" will be unveiled for the world. This will be followed by their album release a couple months later in July.
And those are just the ladies. May will be full of boy idol groups galore! The popular group Super Junior is expected to come back with their fourth album "Bonamana" on May 13th. They'll be performing their "comeback stage" on Music Bank on May 14th. A music video teaser for "Miinah" came out on May 6th to hold fans over until then. SS501's comeback was originally slated for May 1st, but it's been pushed back to later this month. MBLAQ also recently released two music video teasers on May 6th prepping for their second single album set to be released on May 18th. CNBLUE's comeback has also been confirmed to be within the month of May. The tentative date being May 19th.
Aside from the one-gender idol groups, 8eight is planning on dropping their track "The End Is Coming" on May 11th.

2PM celebrates first win on "M! Countdown" with new tune
Members of idol group 2PM from left to right: Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho, Junsu and Chansung [JYP Entertainment]
Korean idol group 2PM was crowned the winner of televised cable music program "M! Countdown" on Thursday, taking their first-ever win with single "Without U."
According to official tallies of the record album sales and online voting of "M! Countdown," the boy band's song claimed the No. 1 single spot on yesterday's show, beating last week's winner "Love Song" by singer Rain.
The show was not broadcast, however, with the funeral ceremony held for naval soldiers who were part of the mysterious explosion of naval ship Cheonan in late March.
The country had been in a state of grievance since the incident and all major public networks in the country had delayed or cancelled the broadcast of most of their entertainment shows.
Mnet aired a rerun of an episode featuring the comeback performances by songstress Lee Hyori and Rain.
2PM has been enjoying a successful return to the local music scene with their third single album "Don't Stop Can't Stop." Their new tune has fared well on numerous online and offline charts since its release last week.

2PM Chosen as Favorite Commercial Models
A survey has shown that the idol group 2PM was found to be the most preferred commercial models during the first half of this year.
The professional brand consulting company Brand 38 has conducted a survey to ask viewers about their favorite TV commercial stars during the first half of this year, and 16.01 percent of respondents supported the group 2PM, who ranks in first place. The company released the result of the survey on April 26. In the same surveys conducted in the second half of last year, 2PM came in at 7th place.
Following 2PM, comedian Yoo Jae Seok came in second, the idol group Girls Generation third, "figure queen” Kim Yu Na fourth, actor Kang Dong Won fifth, and the group 2AM in sixth. Also, the group CNBLUE, who debuted this year, ranked in seventh place thanks to the popularity of member Jung Yong Hwa. Brown Eyed Girls, Beast, Shiny, and T-ara also appeared among the top ten, which indicates the growing popularity of idol groups.
The survey was conducted via one-on-one interviews of 1,012 people aged over seventeen and living in the Seoul and Geonggi area.

Talent agencies offering to sign on Park Jae-beom
Korean singer Park Jae-beom [Asia Economic Daily]
Park Jae-beom, the former leader of boy band 2PM who left the group last fall, has been receiving offers from several talent agencies in Korea.
The singer, who was dropped by his former agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE) in February when JYPE terminated its contract with him over "a huge personal wrongdoing", has been rebuilding his music career in the U.S. and recently agreed to star in the b-boy film "Hype Nation".
The news of his upcoming star turn in "Hype Nation" is said to have caught the attention of several agencies in Korea and are wanting to sign him on.
"Several agencies have said that they want to recruit him and even offered him the contract terms in detail," a source related to "Hype Nation" said.
Local agencies had reportedly been interested in signing the former pop idol ever since he parted with JYPE, but none had been public about their intentions as they were worried about the public's response to Park's comeback to the local scene.
The Seattle-born singer was at the peak of his career last September when it was revealed that he had written several controversial remarks -- including "I hate Korea" -- on his MySpace pages during his teenage years as a trainee at JYPE.
The matter caused an uproar around the country, leading to Park quitting the band and leaving Korea four days after his old comments surfaced on the Internet.
Park had been staying in the U.S. since, dancing with his b-boy crew Art of Movement and preparing for debut in the U.S. music scene through collaborations with Dumbfoundead and noted record producer Teddy Riley.
He is scheduled to visit Korea in June to start shooting the film "Hype Nation".
