T-MAX Returns to See Their Japanese Fans

Members of the group T-MAX, Kim Joon and Shin Min-cheol, made their return to Japan a year after their "Boys of Flowers" popularity first really started.

They made an appearance at the "Boys over Flowers Last Event : Graduation" which was held on the 25th in Yokohama, Japan. T-MAX was the group behind two very popular songs off the soundtrack to the drama "Boys over Flowers", titled "Paradise" and "Say Yes". They performed both songs at the event, along with "Keep It Open" and "Bang Bang Boom". Their performance was received quite favorably by the 5,000 Japanese fans that showed up.

After T-MAX's performance, Kim Joon came back on stage, this time as an actor, with his fellow castmates of the drama: Lee Min-ho, Goo Hye-seon, and Kim Bum. When the stars of the hit drama were asked, "Who has changed the most from being a pretty boy on the drama?" All the stars picked Kim Joon, saying that after being a pretty "flower" boy, he had transformed into a baseball player.

A few days before the "Boys Over Flowers" event, T-MAX also held a fan club meeting, "My T-MAX Japan" in Tokyo on the 22nd. This was where the fans got to dine with the two members of T-MAX, have some champagne, and even play some games.

Youngest Member Park Yoon-hwa Leaving T-MAX

Park Yoon-hwa of the group T-MAX personally left a message on the group's official fan cafe site yesterday afternoon, April 5th. After first debuting in 2007 with the single "Blooming", Park has announced his departure from the group that has released hit songs such as "I Love You" ("널 사랑해''), "Why'd You Do That?" ("왜 그랬어"), and "Paradise".

On his posting, Park wrote, "I won't be able to take part in T-MAX's albums. It's not so much of a personal issue...Rather, as you all know, I simply have to answer to the call of my country. I have some personal things I need to attend to which has forced me to say good-bye a bit earlier than expected."

He added, "I'm sorry that I'm leaving despite having worked so hard to prepare for this and before showing you all that I feel I'm capable of. I put a lot of thought into this decision so I ask for your understanding. Although I will not longer be a part of the group, I do ask for your love and support for them. I do hope to return and surprise everyone as a better artist onstage one day. Thank you so much for all of your love and support!"

A T-MAX representative said that due to Park having to serve his mandatory military call, he decided that leaving the group was the best decision for both sides. T-MAX plans on recruiting an additional member to the remaining trio (Kim Joon, Shin Min-chul, and Park Han-bi) to continue their activities. Their newest album is slated for release this May.

K-pop boy band T-Max on Wuttisak billboard [Planet 905]

K-pop idol group T-Max has adorned the billboards of Thailand's capital of Bangkok, according to their agency Planet 905.

Planet 905 stated in a press release Thursday that the group is featured on the billboards for skin care brand Wuttisak which is placed on several high rises, bus stops, subway stations and several locations in the popular Siam Square in Bangkok.

The band was appointed the new faces of Wuttisak in late January and they visited the country to attend a press conference, commercial and billboard shoot. Over 100 media outlets turned up for the press conference.

Planet 905 went onto explain that the group was handed the title of 'New Asian Stars' after the billboards were revealed in the highly populated areas of the country.

T-Max, composed of members Kim Joon, Shin Min-chul and Park Yoon-ha, made their debut in 2007 with their first single album "Blooming."

They boomed into the music industry after releasing their song "Paradise" in the soundtrack for last year's smash hit TV series "Boys Over Flowers" and are currently preparing to release their studio album during the latter half of the year.

Member Kim Joon also appears as a regular on KBS' variety show “Invincible Baseball Team” and has been set to star in a Korea-Japan co-produced drama tentatively titled "The Love of Pygmalion."
