K-pop idol Big Bang [YG Entertainment]
Five-member K-pop idol group Big Bang are set to release a digital single titled "Lollipop Pt.2" on Friday.
"The boys' new single will be unveiled on online music sites at 11 A.M. today," a representative from the group's agency YG Entertainment said.
The electric hip-hop song was co-written by YG's main producer Teddy and the band's members G-Dragon and T.O.P.
The boys had collaborated with girl group 2NE1 for the first version of the song released in March last year to promote the phone. The song had topped cable music channel Mnet's music chart for four weeks in a row.
Big Bang has been one of the most successful idol groups in Korea since making a debut in 2006 with their first single album "Bigbang."
They have released numerous singles and albums while individual members of the group have branched out to various facets of the entertainment industry including variety shows and dramas.
