Popular girl group Girls' Generation triumphed on Gaon's singles and album charts for the final week of March with their latest single "Run Devil Run."

According to the weekly chart, the girls held onto their spot as the No. 1 single for a second consecutive week since going on sale last Monday.

They have been promoting the new song by making TV appearances as well as releasing a smart phone application and a story version of their music video.

2AM's "I Did Wrong" remained in second place and R&B group Brown Eyed Soul's most recent single "I'll Move" joined the top ranks by placing in third.

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation's repackaged second album "Run Devil Run" claimed the title as the best-selling record from March 21 to 27, overtaking last week's winner 2AM.

Rounding off the top three slots were girl band After School’s newly released single album "Bang!" and soul singing group Big Mama's fifth album "5."

The Gaon music chart, considered the Korean equivalent of the U.S. Billboard chart, was launched last month. Its data has been accumulated from online and offline sales statistics from the country's major web-based providers and record distribution companies.
