K-pop idols f(x) successfully bowed onto the Gaon singles chart at No. 1 with their latest single "NU ABO" for the week of May 2 to 8.

According to Gaon's singles chart on Thursday, f(x) took their first win on the chart, pushing down former winner "Something Stupid" artist Suh Young-eun to second place.

The girls have been enjoying their return to the music scene with the first mini-album "NU ABO" which has topped numerous online and offline charts with their title track of the same name since going on sale last Monday.

"Confession" by duo Hot Potato made an astonishing 22-spot jump from the previous week to round out the top three singles.

Meanwhile, veteran singer Lee Seung-chul's special "25th Anniversary" record took the top honors on Gaon's weekly albums chart during the second week of May.

f(x)'s "NU ABO" and R&B songstress Gummy's "Loveless" entered the chart at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
