Key: Phone Dating Doesn't Work

On the Sunday episode of KBS 2TV's "All-Night Variety Show Nocturnal," members of the boy band Shinee came out to share stories and encourage the show's MC and fellow member Onew.

For this episode, the cast visited an emergency room at a night shift hospital to deliver food to a nurse. The request was made by her younger sister, who said her older sister was so busy taking care of her siblings that she doesn't even have time to date.

The topic turning to dating, and MC Sin Dong-yeob asked Shinee members if Onew really had never dated a girl.

The members then jokingly said it's time to reveal the real truth, but the ultimate truth was that none of the members have had dating experience.

Key surprised everyone when he explained, "You have to meet people to date but all we get is our cell phone. You can't do phone dating."

The other members and the MCs were all taken aback and MC Sin said, "Whatever form of dating is all fine. Just don't do any bad stuff on the phone," and the discussion ended with a laugh.

Key also said, "In my trainee years, I was banned from dating and after my debut, dating became even harder."

Sin responded, "Well I think after a few years, the other Shinee members will have dated except for Key."

On the show, Onew also revealed that his liquor limit was five and a half bottles of the Korean hard spirit "soju," and was named a heavy drinker following after older singers Hyeon Jin-yeong and Jeon Jin.
