Korean actress Kim Hee-seon will be making a comeback to the big screen for the first time in five years through a Chinese film tentatively titled "Warring States", according to her agency on Wednesday.

An official at her agency In House told Asia Economic Daily over the phone that the actress is "expected to make a special appearance in 'Warring States'", about the Warring States period in Chinese history.

The official also addressed recent news about Kim's possible comeback to the small screen in a historical drama tentatively titled "Faith", helmed by noted director Kim Jong-hak and co-starring Hallyu star Lee Jun-ki.

"We are in the final stages of negotiations," the executive said. "Decisions will be made within the month."

Kim, 33, has appeared in over a dozen Korean television dramas and films since her debut in 1993. She was one of the most in-demand actresses in the country before she got married in 2007 to businessman Park Ju-young.

She was last seen in the 2006 SBS TV series "Smile Again" and 2005 Hong Kong film "The Myth" alongside action star Jackie Chan.
