Album cover for 15th album from Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra [SM Entertaiment]
Japanese ska band Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra will simultaneously release a new album in Korea and Japan today, according to their album promoter SM Entertainment.
The nine-member live ska band's 15th full-length album titled "WORLD SKA SYMPHONY," their first studio release in a year, will go on sale in time with the 20th year of their musical career.
The new album will contain 12 songs including their newest songs "STORM RIDER" and "Juggling City," as well as the remake of the single "KinouKyouAshita" and a cover of "Hymn to Love" originally sung by French artist Edith Piaf.
The band also collaborated with several of Japan's most prominent artists for the album, including former Unicorn member Tamio Okuda for "Shooting Star Parade," Crystal Kay for "ZUTTO" and Kazuyoshi Saito for "Kimi wa Boku" from their first debut album.
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, also known as Skapara, has released numerous albums and singles since forming in 1988. Their first big hit was "Monster Rock" in 1990 and their most recent activities include touring Japan last year with their album "Paradise Blue."
