G7's 1st Produce Sold on 'Invincible'

Crops such as lettuce and chicken raised by girl group members were sold to people for the first time.

On the KBS 2TV farm reality show "Invincible Youth," which aired Friday, the G7 cast (seven girl group members) commissioned the sale of the produce they raised for themselves.

They chose to sell the products at a local supermarket and give a portion of the profits to the supermarket.
The market manager put a high price on their goods in consideration of their high quality.
After the negotiations, the G7 members took out their lettuce and eggs for display on the store shelves. They also pitched in with marketing ideas.

Comedian Kim Sin-yeong flatly opposed cliche ad lines and proposed creative, funky ideas.
The girls humorously wrote "1st grade quality recognition" followed by the small words "we would long to receive."

They also decked the shelves with witty marketing poems, "Hurry and pick up the lettuce, No additional sale!"

Consumers who bought their goods said, "I saw them raising the crops on TV but the crops have been grown so fast. They're fresh and tasty."

Seven kilograms of lettuce and eggs were all sold for a profit of W77000 from the lettuce and W56000 from the eggs (W400 per egg).

The G7 cast gathered outside the KBS building to begin the program as a comical parody of the hit travel reality program "Two Days and One Night," which is shot at the same place. It was singer Kim Tae-woo's idea. Kim Sin-yeong played the role of Two Days' Kang Ho-dong and Yuri of Girls' Generation played Lee Seung-gi and sang his song "Will You Marry Me."
