Korean singer Park Jae-beom is said to be considering holding a press conference in Korea when he returns to the country in June to shoot his b-boy film "Hype Nation".

In a phone call with Asia Economic Daily on Wednesday, a source related to the film explained that the singer is "discussing with his parents about holding a press conference regarding his permanent resignation [from 2PM and agency JYPE]".

"The time and place has not been set as of yet," the source was quoted as saying. "Details about the press conference will be out soon."

He went onto say that the singer's activities in Korea will be handled by his parents while Park will "focus all his energies on shooting the movie," 70 percent of which will be shot in Korea.

In February, JYPE had announced that it will be terminating its exclusive contract with Park, much to the shock of his fans who were expecting him to rejoin 2PM and resume his singing career in Korea this year.

Amidst much speculation among fans, both Park and JYPE remained tight-lipped about the real reason behind their split, only stating that it was due to "a huge wrongdoing" that he had committed in his personal life.

Park, 22, is scheduled to arrive in Korea in early June to shoot "Hype Nation", a film about a dance contest between dance crews from the East and the West.
