New girl group miss A and Big Bang member Taeyang have taken the crown on Mnet's charts during the second week of July.

According to data released by the cable music channel on Tuesday, the girls made a 15-slot jump to first place with their debut single "Bad Girl Good Girl," booting last week's winner MC Mong off the chart.

miss A, composed of members Fei, Jia, Suzy and Min, were discovered and trained by JYP Entertainment and is managed by the agency's sub-label AQ Entertainment. "Girl" has swept many other music charts since the band's debut on July 1.

"The Day I Confessed My Love" by 2AM leader Jo Kwon came in second place on Mnet's chart and making a surprising 19-spot climb to No. 3 was Son Dambi's latest ballad "Can't U See."

Meanwhile, the first full-length solo release by Big Bang member Taeyang held onto the title as the best-selling record on Mnet's album chart during the week of July 5 to 11.

The second album "Blue Brand; Trauma" featuring tracks from various artists also remained at No. 2, while Korean songstress Son Dambi's new third mini-album "the queen" made an incredible 28-spot leap to third place.
