Big Bang member Taeyang's international album has entered the top 10 of Apple's iTunes R&B/Soul records charts in several countries.

According to the official iTunes website, Taeyang's international release, which simultaneously went on sale locally and internationally yesterday, has placed at No. 2 in Japan, No. 3 in Australia, No. 5 in Canada and No. 6 in the United States.

Korean idol Big Bang's latest Japanese single has placed at fifth on the prestigious Oricon daily music chart, according to Japanese publication Oricon Style on Thursday.

Oricon Style reported that according to Oricon's daily chart, the five-member boy band's fifth Japanese single "Beautiful Hangover," released in the country yesterday, entered the music chart at No. 5.

Idol group Big Bang member Taeyang's new music video "I'll Be There" has drawn in over one million hits in just two days of its release, according to his agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.

YG announced that "I'll Be There," which was revealed on Taeyang's official YouTube channel on August 19, was viewed by one million people during the first two days and has accumulated over 1.26 million hits as of today.

Agency YG announced in a press release on Monday that the singer posted photographs from the upcoming music video along with the comment "PHOTO FROM MY NEW MUSIC VIDEO SET" on his new Twitter page.

According to data released by the cable music channel on Tuesday, the girl's debut single "Bad Girl Good Girl" held onto its title as the No. 1 single for the week of July 12 to 18.

Korean singer Taeyang of popular idol group Big Bang has made a shining debut in North America, placing his solo album "Solar" high atop Apple's iTunes online music charts.

According to a press release by agency YG Entertainment on Friday, "Solar" came in at No.1 on Top R&B/Soul Albums chart of Canada iTunes and No. 3 on the U.S. site. It is the first time and the highest that an Asian artist has ranked on either charts.

Korean rapper MC Mong has topped the Mnet's singles chart with his recent duet "Hurts Like Death" with female singer Mellow for the first week of July.

According to data released by the cable music channel on Tuesday, the rapper pushed back previous week's winner Big Bang member T.O.P, taking his first win on the music chart.

T.O.P. isn't the only Big Bang member seeing major success going solo. After having just been released on July 1st, Taeyang's solo album "Solar" has already sold out its 30,000 circulated copies. Despite the fact that the release date was on a weekday, there were fans waiting in long lines to get their hands on their own deluxe edition of the album.

The limited edition of Big Bang member Taeyang's new album has sold out on the day of its release, according to the singer's agency YG Entertainment on Friday.

Offline and online record stores reported that the deluxe version of Taeyang's first full-length album "Solar" sold out within moments of going on sale, with the servers of several online retailers shutting down from too many shoppers logging on simultaneously, YG said.

"Some of the fans who were unable to purchase the limited edition even called our suppliers directly to inquire whether more copies would be produced but we were set on releasing only 30,000 copies and have no plans to produce more," explained YG.

A regular version of the album has been set to go on sale a week later but YG is considering pulling up the release date by a few days due to the high demand.

Meanwhile, the title track “I Need a Girl” and other songs from his album such as "You're My," "Just a Feeling," "Superstar" and "After You Fell Asleep" have placed within the top spots on numerous web-based music charts.

Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae, made his debut as a member of Big Bang in 2005. He is the first member to debut as a solo artist, releasing his first mini-album "HOT" in May 2008.

He also released two digital singles "Wedding Dress" and "Where U At" last November.

He gave his comeback performance on Mnet's televised music show "M! Countdown" yesterday, singing "I Need a Girl," "You're My" and "Just a Feeling."

Tae Yang also says “Because I have G-Dragon, my closest friend, I am confident.” G-dragon has featured in the title song for rap, but also have participated in the composing and lyric writing of the song ‘After you asleep’ in this album.

Tae Yang said “It is a comeback stage in a very long time, so I am very nervous, but because I have G-Dragon by my side, I am much more reassured. I will prepare well to give a good performance on stage”.

On the other hand, Tae Yang will have a stage starting on cable channel Mnet ‘M! Countdown’ on July 1st, MBC ‘Music Core’ and SBS ‘Popular Song’ and G-Dragon will be on stage together.

Big Bang Taeyang to make music comeback with G-Dragon

Big Bang member Taeyang will be making a comeback to the local music scene with his first full-length solo album this week, giving comeback performances with fellow group mate G-Dragon, according to his agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.

YG announced in a press release that Taeyang will take to the stages of televised music shows including music cable channel Mnet's "M! CountDown" and public networks "Music Core" and "Inkigayo" to perform his title track "I Need a Girl" featuring rap by G-Dragon from his upcoming release "Solar."

G-Dragon, known to be close friends with Taeyang since their years as trainees for YG at the age of 13, also took part in writing and composing song "After You Fell Asleep" in Taeyang's album.

"I am nervous since I'm returning to the local music stage for the first time in a while but I feel a lot more confident because G-Dragon will be next to me," Taeyang was quoted as saying, adding he is doing his best to prepare for the comeback performances.

Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae, made his debut as a member of Big Bang in 2005. He is the first member to debut as a solo artist, releasing his first mini-album "HOT" in May 2008. He also released two digital singles "Wedding Dress" and "Where U At" last November.
