Sung Si-kyung and IU tops Gaon's chart with "It's You"

Korean singer Sung Si-kyung and IU made their way to the No. 1 spot on Gaon's singles chart with their latest duet "It's You" during the week of September 26 to October 2.

According to data released by Gaon on Thursday, the collaboration beat out previous week winner 2NE1, scoring their first win on the singles chart.

IU and CNBLUE rocks televised music shows

Duet IU and Seulong and rock band CNBLUE took the top spot on televised music programs over the weekend of the first week of July.

IU scored her second consecutive win on KBS' Friday music show "Music Bank" with "Nagging," a collaboration with 2AM member Seulong. This week however, IU performed the song with male solo artist Seo In-guk.

Girls' Generation, IU and Seulong win on TV music shows

Korean pop singers Girls' Generation, IU and Seulong triumphed on televised music programs over the weekend.

Girls' Generation received the award for the best song for the first half of the year 2010 on KBS' TV music show "Music Bank" with the title track from their second album of the same name "Oh!,” beating out 2AM's "I Can't Let You Go."

"Oh!" had dominated K-pop charts for five consecutive weeks from February 5 to March 5.

The nine-member girl group is considered one of the most successful pop idols in the country since their debut in 2007. They have released several hit tracks including "Gee," "Tell Me Your Wish" and "Run Devil Run."

Meanwhile, the latest collaboration "Nagging" by songstress IU and 2AM member Seulong, released on June 3, scored its first Mutizen award on SBS' music program "Inkigayo," also making it the first-ever win for the songstress since her debut in 2008.

"We didn't think the song would be such a hit. We would like to thank all the fans who loved the song," the two singers said in their acceptance speech.

Other contenders on both shows included CNBLUE, 4minute, MBLAQ, f(x) and Seo In-young.

IU and Seulong continues reign on Gaon's singles chart

Korean pop star IU and 2AM's Seulong held onto the No. 1 spot on Gaon's single chart with their new duet single "Nagging" last week.

According to data released by Gaon on Thursday, the two singers' scored their second win on the music chart during the week of June 13 to 19.
